Here are three must-read books for agents to improve their focus & remove distractions so that they can turn their phones off at 5 PM

I will share with you the three books and tools I use to improve focus, remove distractions, and get more done with less.

Over the last decade, I have dedicated my life to improving my real estate sales each year while optimizing for time off.

Uninterrupted time off with my daughter to make her breakfast in the morning.

Uninterrupted time off with my wife so we can have dinner together without having to look at my phone or check e-mails.

Uninterrupted time off to ride my mountain bike six days a week.

If real estate agents don’t learn how to improve focus, remove distractions, and get more done less, they will never reach their potential.

For an agent to sell more homes, they have to work longer and longer hours. These hours take away from personal time with family, relationships, and personal growth through health and exercise.

If real estate agents don’t take this seriously, they will burn out and, in 10 years, regret their decision to sell real estate because that will be the only memory they have of their life. How many homes did they sell?

Unfortunately, agents get caught in a performance trap. Here is why.
They believe doing more will produce more.

Here are five reasons agents try to do more to get more.

Reason #1 – They have been told it is a numbers game.

Reason #2 – They have been trained to sell prospects more, follow up more, and be more at the office.

Reason #3 – They gain traction as a solo agent and never learn how to do more with more people.

Reason #4 – They are perfectionists and think they can do it better than everyone else. They lack trust.

Reason #5 – Because they prioritize work over their family and friends, the only way the people they love can gain their attention is by being disruptive.

There is hope because these three books and three tools will massively improve your productivity in less time. Because I can guarantee you that you can get everything done in under 4 hours a day.

Here are three must-read books.

Book #1 – “Atomic Habits – An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones” James Clear

This book is so important not to start a new habit but to identify the patterns holding you back. Once you can identify the practices that are retarding your progress, you can eliminate that habit.

Be careful trying to replace bad habits with good habits. You need to eliminate habits to free up time and focus.

Book #2 – “High-Performance Habits – How Extraordinary People Become That Way” Brendon Burchard

This book will give you the proven habits of high performers. I don’t think you know what habits you must have for high performance. You don’t; otherwise, you would already have those habits.

This is a must-read book. You will find high performers have fewer habits than you. They get more done in less time because of it. Find out more, read the book.

Book #3 – “Tiny Habits: The Small Changes that Change Everything” BJ Fogg PhD

I don’t know but, if you could learn how the founders of Instagram created one of the most addictive and habit-forming applications of all time, would you want to know?

Well, they took BJ Fogg’s Stanford University class, and in this book, he shared the breakthrough method of building habits quickly and easily.

Cheers,
