Why I Just Bought A Home In Today’s Market

Why I just bought a home in today’s market and it had nothing to do with money.

This past week was a wild one because we were not shopping for a house but, ended up buying one.

The house is in our neighborhood and we thought it would be a great place for my parents to live.

It isn’t a financial investment it is a life choice.

The key factor to our happiness is the proximity to our family. This has been proven over and over again.

Even living across town from your kids, grandkids or parents can drastically reduce the amount of time you spend with them in your lifetime.

Statistically, if you live in another town, city, or state you will probably only see your family two or three times a year.

It is nice we have Zoom but, it doesn’t replace the human connection and love found in the same space and time.

Given, that my dad is 72 years old, in a wheelchair and if he lives to 82, that would mean we will only see each other 20 more times.

Knowing that number could be lower we decided as a family to move closer together.

The same goes for grandchildren. We need to spend as much time with them as possible before they turn 18 years old. You can do the same 2x or 3x a year calculation.

That is why many of our clients are listing their homes. So, they can sell and move closer to their kids and grandkids.

The cliche life is short is overused but, it is true. I have found people don’t buy or sell real estate because of money, interest rates, and the marketplace.

They buy and sell seeking love and connection.
